Week 4 | Decreasing the effects of a negative emotion & Tools to deal better with the immediate stressful situation

This week, you will:

  1. Deal with the immediate stress situation and decrease the effect of a stressful trigger. You will learn to use eye movement patterns used in the technique called EMDR (eye movement desensitisation reprocessing).

The purpose of this is to aid in decreasing the effect of a stressor. You will learn three techniques on how to create distance from something that triggers you. These tools are useful when you find yourself getting stressed and/or anxious.
